Robert
Durst
Robert Durst – Area Director, SIS
Mr. Robert Durst is the
director of the
Space Internetworking Services
Area. Mr. Durst was previously a member of
CCSDS Panel 1F, and is the author of the Space
Communications Protocol Standards (SCPS) Transport
Protocol (SCPS-TP) and Network Protocol (SCPS-NP).
Mr. Durst is currently
a Senior Principal Networking and Distributed Systems
Engineer at The MITRE Corporation in McLean, VA, USA.
His primary responsibilities relate to development of
Delay and Disruption Tolerant Networking techniques for
the US Department of Defense and for NASA. Mr. Durst's
research interests include mobile ad hoc network
routing, transport protocols for stressed environments,
and reliable communication in military and in-situ space
networks.
