Draft documents are subject to change, and the draft CCSDS Recommendation referenced here does not necessarily represent consensus technical agreement among the CCSDS Member Agencies.
The Management Council of the Consultative Committee for Space Data Systems (CCSDS) has authorized
the publication, and requests Agency review, of the following document:
This Recommended Standard for Conjunction Data Message (CDM) specifies a
standard message format for use in exchanging spacecraft conjunction
information between data originators of conjunction assessments, satellite
owner/operators, and other authorized parties. Such exchanges are used to
inform satellite operator(s) of conjunctions between objects in space to
enable consistent warning by different organizations employing diverse
conjunction assessment techniques. This draft update adds several
enhancements to the original specification. These enhancements are detailed
in annex J.
Member and Observer Agencies are requested to send their sets of review comments to the CCSDS Review Coordinator
with a copy to the CCSDS Secretariat. Each review comment should be submitted on a separate Review Item Disposition (RID) form. Submission of RIDs
in electronic form is preferred. The following ASCII RID forms are available (click on form name to access):
