The Management Council of the Consultative Committee for Space Data Systems (CCSDS) has authorized the publication, and requests Agency review, of the following document:

This CCSDS Recommended Standard specifies the Unified Space Data Link Protocol (USLP) for use by space missions over space-to-ground, ground-to-space, or space-to-space communications links. The current draft update adds VC Packet and VC Access services, changes the maximum number of frames per CLTU from one to greater than one to match the Telecommand specification, and adds to the security section a table, a diagram, and text concerning the order of COP to SDLS, similar to the Telecommand specification.

Member and Observer Agencies are requested to send their sets of review comments to the CCSDS Review Coordinator with a copy to the CCSDS Secretariat. Each review comment should be submitted on a separate Review Item Disposition (RID) form. Submission of RIDs in electronic form is preferred.
