The Management Council of the Consultative Committee for Space Data Systems (CCSDS) has authorized the publication, and requests Agency review, of the following document:

This Recommended Standard defines a CCSDS Bundle Protocol based on the Bundle Protocol of RFC 5050, with necessary extensions to support the Delay/Disruption Tolerant Networking (DTN) of space applications. The current draft update makes the specification compatible with the IETF Bundle Protocol version 7.

NASA reviewers should submit review comments to the coordinators for their respective organizations as identified below. Review coordinators may provide additional local instructions for how comments are to be submitted.

NASA Center review coordinators are requested to send their sets of review comments to the NASA Review Coordinator on or before the NASA review completion date, with a copy to the NASA Head of Delegation to CCSDS. Each review comment should be submitted on a separate Review Item Disposition (RID) form. If a Center’s review results in no RIDs, that Center is expected to inform the NASA Review Coordinator that the Center has no RIDs to submit.
